When you receive a secure email, it will appear in your inbox similar to the message highlighted in the screen below. In this case, the mail client is Microsoft Outlook, and it shows intermingled non-secure and TrustX-secured emails.
When you click on an email to read it, you will be asked to authenticate yourself on your mobile device.
To receive a secure email via TrustX, you must have a mobile device (see supported devices) that can be used to authenticate you as the intended recipient of that email. Depending on the level of trust specified by the sender, you may be asked for a PIN, a picture of your face, a sample of your voice, or some combination of these. This collection process is controlled by a TrustX application that you download from your mobile device’s app store.
After you have authenticated using your mobile device, the contents of the email will be displayed. If you are using an email client other than Outlook, the TrustX portal will be launched in a browser and your email will be displayed. If you are using the Outlook Add-in, the contents of the email will be displayed in Outlook, similar to the screen shot below.
