How It Works

Sending Secure Emails

You have a number of options to send TrustX-secured email. You can send protected email through your browser (using the TrustX Portal), through your Microsoft Outlook™ email client, or directly through the TrustX mobile app.

You may use any supported browser to access the TrustX Portal and send secure emails. You simply specify the level of trust you desire and then send the email as usual.

Sending email using a browser

If you use Microsoft Outlook™ as your email client, you can install the TrustX Outlook Add-In, which allows you to use your existing email to simply specify the level of trust you desire and then send the email as usual. Learn More

Sending email from Outlook

If you use an iPad or iPhone to access your email, you may use the TrustX app as your email client. In this case, you simply specify the level of trust you desire and then send the email as usual.

Sending email using the mobile app

On all devices, different trust levels allow you to tailor your need for privacy to the contents of each email. For instance, sensitive Merger and Acquisition data may require “high” levels of trust (more extensive biometric and PIN checks on the recipient) while standard end of month financials may require only a PIN.

Your Responsibility

When you send a secure email, you can be assured that TrustX will validate the recipient as the same person who registered that email address with TrustX. It is your responsibility to ensure that the intended recipient has registered this email address with TrustX.
